James McMahan
CEO, Bluebird Lighting Owner
Over 30 years’ experience in lighting and commercial / hospitality sales at the executive level. As CEO and company owner, Jim is a hands-on leader, leveraging his extensive background in national account and hospitality sales, and lighting procurement – for decorative as well as architectural lighting. His Sales & Marketing experience includes sales force management, market analysis, strategic planning, PR, and project management. MBA Finance and BS Marketing from the University of South Carolina. Prior experience includes Procter & Gamble, Mead, Pitney Bowes, Schonbek / Swarovski, and WAC Lighting.
Kevin Durgin
General Manager
Kevin Durgin brings 25 years of management, production, estimating, and manufacturing experience to Bluebird Lighting with his role as general manager. Prior to Bluebird Lighting, Kevin was President of Traffic Control Products and was responsible for running all facets of the business; focusing on developing efficient business processes, developing business strategy, and building out channel programs. In 2005, Kevin strategically purchased Wapiti Micro Systems, a traffic software company. With an eye for growth, Kevin expanded into manufacturing and developed new products within the traffic industry. Kevin later founded LEDergy LLC, a distributor of lighting focused on the emerging need for LED lighting, and co-founded Itronik LLC, which quickly became a leader in its field.
Katie Pulli
VP of Sales & Business Development
Katie Pulli has over two decades of sales, leadership, and lighting experience working with Trade and Hospitality customers. Most recently, Katie was the Head of the B2B Sales & Account Management teams at Wayfair, leading sales teams of 200 people and driving significant revenue growth to $500M annually. Before Wayfair, Katie worked at Metropolitan Lighting (a Minka company) at the New York Design Center. She partnered closely with Interior Designers, Architects, and Contractors to help achieve their design vision ‘one light at a time’. As the VP of Sales and Business Development, Katie’s primary goal is to strengthen our relationships with our valued customers, our salesforce and expand our reach in the marketplace. To achieve this, Katie will focus on implementing new marketing and sales strategies to increase brand awareness and adapt to evolving market trends.
Kathleen Bautista
Director of Global Projects
Kathleen is a veteran project management and sales executive. In her previous leadership roles in hospitality and retail industries, she built and managed business channels, achieved record growth, and delivered profitability. She brings to the table a strong experience base in management, operations, business development, and marketing. A consummate professional, Kathleen is adept at managing various stakeholders at all levels and has a solid background in building and leading high-performing teams. Kathleen graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Broadcast Communication.
Jean Van Vranken Dougherty
Project Manager, Sales & Marketing Coordinator
Jean is a Project Manager and the Sales & Marketing Manager for Bluebird Lighting. She is responsible for ensuring projects run smooth start to finish and making sure sales reps have everything they need to do their job. Jean is also responsible for creating a vibrant marketing platform through organizing trades shows, social media, print and digital marketing. Previously Jean was employed for 15 years at Bloomberg L.P. working in both the United States and Australia.
Danille Joris
Project Manager
Danille is a Project Manager for Bluebird Lighting and is responsible for acting as the key conduit between customer orders, from initial order placement, coordination with the factory or vendors, through to delivery and project completion. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Southern Mississippi and has worked across the country in the design field for the last several years but has always had a knack for lighting. Danille has a thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and other related construction documents including detailed take-offs. Danille is certified as a Lighting Associate by the American Lighting Association and is currently working towards her specialist certification.
Joy Arga
Project Manager
Joy is a licensed Architect who has worked in the construction and design firms in the past years - gaining experience and understanding of various facets of a project : from conceptualization, execution, and final turnover to stakeholders. By fostering proactive and efficient processes, she aims to optimize project outcomes, ultimately leading to increased revenue for the organization. Her vision entails implementing strategies that streamline workflows, facilitate transparent communication channels, and encourage collaboration among all parties involved in a project. Overall, her goal is not only to deliver successful projects but also to cultivate an organizational culture that promotes innovation, efficiency, and profitability. Through her leadership and vision, she seeks to drive positive change and elevate the standard of project management within her organization.
Trystan Arias
Project Manager
Trystan is a Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with over 5 years of experience. He has served in different industries from robotic automation to construction and renovation providing a new perspective in project and CRM management. Trystan graduated at University of the East-Caloocan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was awarded with University Academic Excellence. He is a Project Manager for Bluebird Lighting and is responsible for the entire project life cycle. From initial acquisition of order, to coordination with client and factory, to completion and delivery of project. He is also in charge of data management in the CRM providing accuracy in data necessary to gather, store, and analyze customer information effectively which help empower to make data-driven decisions across various departments.
